The Ephedra is also most popularly known as the Ma Huang which is the most popular ancient Chinese Herb being used for treating the Asthma and Bronchitis patients and also used as the diet supplements because of its efficacy of enhancing the metabolism levels and fat burning for over 5000 years as reflected in the history. The United States FDA had banned using Ephedra based on the reports that Ephedra or Ma Huang had caused deaths in several cases. However, the ban was reversed a couple of years later following the order by a Judge of the Utah Court which directed that the United States FDA authorities had misused their power stating that there was no valid evidence that low dosage of Ephedra up to 10mg pose any health risks.
