Nursing management is very important for the following prognosis of nephrotic syndrome. Here are some advices of nursing management for your reference.
◆ Rest. Patients with severe Edema or Hypertension, need enough rest everyday. You can discuss with your doctors to manage some proper activities, which can enhance your mental and physical health.
◆ Diet. Patients with nephrotic syndrome should take enough heat. The intake of protein should be limited within 2g/KG generally. If you are experiencing severe edema or hypertension, you should manage a limitation on salt.
◆ Skin care. Keep your skin clean and avoid injury or bleeding. Patients should choose soft cloth and beddings. If you get your skin hurt, please ask your doctor to heal with the cut so as to avoid infection.
◆ If you have severe edema, you should avoid injection, because edema may affect medicines lingering, medicine malabsorption, leading local infection or erosion. If you have to take injection, you should ask a disinfection from nurse or doctor. After injection, press the injection site for a long time, in order to avoid medicine exosmosis.
◆ Observation on edema. Keep an observation on your total urine output everyday. Measure your weight, abdominal girth everyday. Take regulate urine test.
◆ Infection. Take preventions for infectious diseases. Avoid get a cold or chill. Avoid to appear in crowed place.
