Gouty Nephrotis is a kind of kidney disease caused by Gout. Gout is caused by the masses of uric acid's generation due to metabolic disorder of purine or the less discharge of uric acid which forms sodium salt and deposits on joint, cartilage and kidney, causing inflammation reaction. Gout usually attacks joint of thumb, ankle and knee, etc.

The damage of Gouty Nephropathy mainly represents Gouty Kidney Disease, Acute Renal Failure and lithangiuria. The main cause of this disease is the deposition of urate crystal either on renal tubules and renal interstitial or on collecting duct, renal pelvis or ureteral, which can relatively cause inflammation reaction or urinary tract obstruction and uroschesis.
In order to prevent the damage to kidney caused by the deposition of urate crystal, the most important thing is controlling Lithemin. In clinic almost one thirds of patients with Gout for a long time represent symptoms of kidney damage. So patients, in particular those with Gout for a long term must pay more attention to preventing Gouty Nephropathy, enhancing the treatment, reducing the uric acid and protecting from Gouty Nephropathy.
