Prognosis of Patients with Diabetic Nephropathy

It has been proved in clinic that Diabetic Nephropathy starts hidden, there are no any clinical symptoms, except increased microalbumin, although glomerulus has been damaged. In clinic, once the sign of persistent proteinuria occur, the progressive losing of kidney function will can’t be blocked. If patients with Diabetic Nephropathy in such stage, about 25% of them in 6 years, 50% of them in 10 years, and about 75% of them in 15 years will suffer from End-Stage of Renal Failure. The life expectancy is only 10 years, if protein is found in urine for patients with Diabetes.
